UPDATED SKIN CARE ROUTINE ON A LOW BUDGET

Hola! So here I go again updating my skin care routine. It is hard for me to stick to one product especially now that my skin is aging, I always feel the need to find a more appropriate routine. I remember reading from a magazine before that when you turn to your 20's, you should really start using anti-aging products, especially women and most especially women who are exposed to the sun and any other form of lighting during the day. As I am still starting to develop on my career, I am actually still on a low budget so I am limited to some products only. But if I had the option to use as many as products as I can I will go ahead and make another post about that so stay tuned. As of now, I am going to focus on my routine.

FACE

STEP 1: CLEANSING

When washing my face, I never use soap. Just water and Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser.

Grabbing details from their website www.cetaphil.com, it explains what the cleanser does and how it goes with all skin types.

Gentle Skin Cleanser

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser is a mild, non-irritating formulation that soothes skin as it cleans. In fact, it's gentle enough for a baby's delicate skin. Designed specifically to work for all skin types, it is a simple, yet highly effective way to care for your skin.

• Our best-seller and fan favorite
• As gentle as it gets — soothes and cleanses, leaving skin smooth and soft
• Mild, soap-free formula cleanses without irritation — it won’t strip skin of its natural protective oils or emollients
• Moisturizes without leaving residue that can clog pores
• Good for special skin needs including those of rosacea-prone skin

As you can see, there are different sizes (mL) of this cleanser. This product is a bit pricey but the good thing about it is you only use a drop or two and you're good to go. For my personal use, I use the smallest one which is a 60mL bottle and this little bottle actually lasts around 3 months for me. You can either use it with or without water and for me, I usually use it with water when washing my face and without water before putting on my make up. And if you're asking, YES I do use it twice like that.

STEP 2: TONING

So what does a toner do? What it does is it actually just adds on an extra cleanser to your skin. And it does have some benefits to your skin as well so it is important still not to skip this step. The benefits are:

- It shrinks pores
- It gives your skin the proper pH balance
- It adds a layer of protection especially from chlorine and minerals present in tap water
- It moisturizes
- It refreshes skin
- It can prevent ingrown hairs

So what product do I use as a toner? Well I'm really into natural products lately and luckily Human nature has these.

Grabbing these information from their site linked above;

Product Description
100% Natural | For normal or sensitive skin

Does your skin react badly to everything you put on it? Don't worry, our Nourishing Face Toner has got you covered! It is 100% natural and free from harsh chemicals, synthetic preservatives and alcohol which are no-no's for sensitive skin.

Plus, it has tomato extract that keeps your skin clear, hydrated, and sting-free. But the goodness doesn’t end there. It also preps your skin for what should come next – moisturizing! The end result? Nothing but fresh, soft and breathtakingly smooth skin - so you can keep calm and fab all day!

That's right! It already acts as a moisturizer so I do skip the moisturizing part and go ahead with my makeup routine which I will post soon! So how do you apply this product? It's very easy peasy. All you need is a cotton ball. You just put a decent amount on the ball, but don't make it too wet, just enough so that the ball feels damp. I usually just use one ball, depending on how dirty my face is. And since I've already cleansed my face on the first step, I'm only going to be needing to clean the dirt that's left on my face.

So I think you have noticed that these products do not really have anti-aging on them, and this is because the products I use that do have anti-aging are my make-up products which I'll be posting soon on my make-up routine.

BODY

Since I am on a low budget here, I usually use a product that has an all in one effect. For the skin, it is very important that you exfoliate. So, I actually found a product that helps me maintain my natural skin color plus it has papaya that helps the skin to exfoliate. This product is Gluta C Intense Whitening with Papaya Exfoliants Face and Body. Yes, it is a face and body soap but I only use it for my body.

And again grabbing from their site www.gluta-c.com are the information about this product;

The unique and powerful blend of Vitamin C and Glutathione now enriched with Papaya Exfoliants is proven to be effective in ensuring: Maximum Whitening Action. Intensely lightens dark spots, blemishes and evens out the skin tone resulting to a fairer and more radiant white. Gentle Exfoliating Papain enzymes from papaya gently lift away dead skin cells and accelerate cell renewal, revealing younger, smoother skin. It clears blemishes, dark spots for more even and lighter skin tone. Advanced Skin Nourishment These anti-oxidants progressively slow down the oxidation process which is the primary cause of aging. Helps renew damaged skin and fosters a noticeably youthful glow.Anti-Bacterial The combination of all ingredients inhibits microbial growth; keeps the skin cleaner, healthier and smelling fresh longer.

The one thing I love about this product is it does smell incredible. It does not have a strong scent and it's not too sweet as well. Plus the vitamin C really add up to why this soap is a must for our skin.

So that sums up my skin care routine on a low budget. So the basic keys to having great skin without having to worry about budget is to stick to quality ( pricey but effective and can be used for a long time) , keep it natural; TIP: you can do home regimens as well like DIY face scrubs, masks, etc; I haven't really tried it for myself but I'll let you know once I have, and lastly, try to find a product that has an all in one effect.  And just to add on, we all have different skin types so some of these products maybe harsh to some of you or maybe not enough to some of you but if you do try this, be sure to let me know how it works out! :) I will also try to do some research on the different types of skin and what kinds of products work for each kind. Thanks for reading and have a wonderful day!

My inspiration: Amanda Margot

Hello again ladies and gents! It's been so long since I've written on my blog and I really do apologize because ever since I graduated from College, my life has been so hectic with applying for a job and moving to my own apartment in a different and bigger city. And honestly I forgot my username so I had to retrieve it again. So today, I actually am so overwhelmed with happiness. One of my main inspirations Amanda Margot replied to one of my comments on Instagram and it actually became a little chat of ours. I have been only following  her for about two months and she has never failed to give me inspiration. She is simple, witty, beautiful inside and out and I also absolutely love her even with no make up on. She has a YouTube Channel together with her sister Nicole and they are both absolutely gorgeous. And I encourage you all to follow them and subscribe to them. So here are a few screenshots I took from my Instagram account to show you guys just how sweet Amanda is to her followers.

AAAAAAAAAND please follow her Instagram account

Thank you guys and gals! So now that I've started to write here again, I'll be sure to write more and keep you guys posted on what's going on lately with me. Have a wonderful day!
